The World’s First Seated March
Although women’s movement is on the rise, women are still sidelined in sports. This shows on the empty seats at the WNBA games. This season, the WNBA calls all voices currently supporting women into the arena. By showing up to the game, you’ll be doing more than supporting women in sports.
You’ll be standing up for women everywhere.
A SEATED MARCH: ARENA DIVISION
Every arena is divided into sections, each assigned to a partner organization. When you take a seat, you’ll be standing for a cause of your choosing and the WNBA will donate a portion of your ticket towards it.
The main partner organizations are: Planned Parenthood, The United State of Women, GLSEN, Mentor, It’s On Us and Bright Pink.
On May 20th, our campaign got its own Twitter emoji, displayed every time someone used the hashtag.
